    Mother Always Said you Should...

My Mom used to tell me repeatedly to do this and do that, not to do this and not to do that. ALL, I recall, very valuable advice. Looking back on it, I can say she was, and still is, a very wise woman. Time reveals, in fact, just about every caring Mother is a Wise Woman. I can see why we carve out a special day each year to acknowledge Mothers. So here is a shout out to all Mom’s – Happy Mother’s Day!! Unfortunately, My Mom’s Mom is no longer here. I am sure that makes her very sad this time of year. I am sure some reading this can relate and have similar stories. For ALL those whose Mom is no longer with us, may you remember the best about them. In addition to that, there are also many who never knew their Mom due to unfortunate circumstance. I bet someone played that roll in their life and they too deserve a Happy Mother’s Day! Regardless, we can celebrate this Mother’s Day knowing Moms both ...

    Spring In-House Quarterly Newsletter

I am a big history buff. Most adults of reasonable success are too. They learn from it and try to avoid repeating mistakes they have made and that others have made. One of my favorite stories from history is Nehemiah and his life. This guy was DRIVEN to solve problems. There is much written on this man and much can be learned especially in the way of getting unstuck. You know what I mean by STUCK, right? Maybe your routine has become unproductive for your health or finances or relationships. In my wo ...

Do You Trust The Ground Hog To Get It Right?

All I can say is WOW! I am sitting here at my computer typing away, thinking of how grateful I am for the value so many, like you, bring to my real estate business. I’m looking out my office window degrees today for the high. Spring is Springing! For many across this great country it’s still COLD, grey, and snowy!

Others, never see a snowflake all winter long. It very well could be SUPER COLD today right here in Sevier County (but it’s not). One thing is f ...

Love Covers A Multitude of Wrongs

February as you know brings in Valentines Day, where many of us scramble to make sure those close to us KNOW we love them! After all - Love is a many splendid thing.

When my wife and I were planning our wedding back in 1989 she suggested we reveal to all in attendance words that would convey our LOVE for each other. My favorite Love Description is: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.

I could go on with all kinds of examples like – Love Your Neighbor as Yourself, even go all business on you with accolades about how much we love doing business with you, or how much we love yo ...

    Winter Quarterly... Thou Shall Prosper

Like most I did not grow up a rich kid. I recall when I was young getting an allowance but only if I performed specific chores around the house. I also remember being incentivized by my parents for making better than good grades and having to work for things I wanted.

I grew up on a lake that was slam full of bass and at an early age fell in love with fishing. I watched the fishing shows, read the fishing magazines, was a member of BASS at the age of 10 I think. One of my greatest memories was asking my Mom and Dad for a specific fishing rod that was the latest and greatest state of the art fishing rod. My parents came back to me and told me that I could absolutely have it but it had to be earned. They laid out for me specifically what I needed to do, and that included making all A’s for the entire school year. Needless to say I earned the fishing rod.

I’m hopeful that you have lots of stories like this in your past that you can leverage and share. I must say I have n ...
